I Love Them, I Love Them Not

Here is a little something I bet you didn't know about me... I hate wearing dresses! I see them on other people and think they are oh so cute but when I put them on, I just feel so dressy.  I do, however, like skirts. How can I like skirts but not dresses? I don't know, I'm just weird like that.

Every once in a while I will come across a dress that I like on me, such as the dress I'm wearing today. Although, I think the main reason I like this dress is because it looks more like a skirt and top than a dress. But it is a dress and I like it!

Cool Down

The weather was in the 90's over the weekend! It is starting to cool down now and I am so thankful for that. I realized I am not quite ready for the summer weather. Summer is my least favorite season. If it never got above 80 or even 90 degrees, I would be happy. But getting to highs of over 100 during the summer, just makes it not so enjoyable to be outside. Luckily we have a boat so we can go on the river and cool off a bit. Here's to hoping the 70's weather sticks around for a bit longer.

Good Deeds

I love giving gifts and doing things for people. If I were a billionaire, I would be like Oprah... gifts for everybody!!!

Today I got to do a good deed. I was standing in line at Target and the little boy in front of me (probably around 11) was buying a backpack. The total came to $37.70 and I heard the boy shyly tell the cashier that he only had $36.00. So what did I do? I gave him the extra money so he could buy the backpack. If I were Oprah, I would have paid for him to go to college or something like that. But I don't have that kind of money so $1.70 is what he got. I know it wasn't much but it made me happy to get to do something nice for someone.

Date Night

 On Saturday, the hubby and I had a date night. And by date night, I mean we went to the movies and got ice cream after. We saw The Lucky One and loved it (Being that it is a chick flick, I'm sure I liked it a little more than the hubby did). I had read the book about a year or two ago and I love anything Nicholas Sparks so I kind of knew I would like the movie. Did anyone else see The Lucky One over the weekend?

Power Outage

I wore this outfit Friday and had planned on taking the pictures at a better location than my backyard, like the lake or vineyards by our house. But then there was a power outage so the hubby got called out to work to fix it so there went my big plans for pictures with a pretty background.We had to take these pictures really fast so he could get to work. We got them done in 2 minute! I believe that's a record.

I got this leopard belt in February and I absolutely love it! I want to wear it with every outfit. There is something about Leopard that just adds instant style to an outfit. I also love the gold detailing on this top. It takes an otherwise simple top and makes it feel a little more special.

Sister-Friend

Let me start by saying, I have the BEST sister in the world! My sister, Jamie, is 22 months older than me but we were only a year apart in school (I started school when I was 4). She is not only my sister but my very best friend. My sister-friend. I don't know how I'd get through life without her.

My sister does many nice things for me. The most recent being... she surprised me with a present! And not just one present but two! I came back from vacation over the weekend and had two gifts waiting for me. One being the blazer I am wearing today. Isn't she the sweetest!?! See, I told you I had a great sister :-)

Coral, White & Blue

Unless it is the Fourth of July, I tend to avoid red, white & blue. But since this top is coral, I don't mind adding a touch of blue.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't like to wear colors associated with a holiday. i.e. red & green, black & orange. I also don't like to wear green and yellow because those were our high school colors. Well, green and gold were actually our school colors but yellow often took the place of gold. And now, wearing those colors feels like its spirit week or something. I just feel so costume-y.

Hi Everyone & Welcome to Kacie's Kloset!!! I am so excited for my first blog post! I feel like it the first day of school. You know... when you're excited but kind of nervous too.

I discovered the fashion blog world at the beginning of the year and fell in love with it. It is so fun to see what other people wear and to get inspiration from it. And the plus to creating a blog and documenting your outfits is now I won't forget any outfits. I often find myself thinking "what outfit did I wear that one day that I really liked?" Now, all I will have to do is look at my blog :-) So fun! Hope you all enjoy Kacie's Kloset and maybe find a little style inspiration for yourself. Thanks for stopping by!!!!
